2004 Annual Picnic and
Youth Fishing Tourney
Spared by a 1000-year storm that devastated other parts of Medford, Medford Lakes and nearby communities, the Taunton Lake community was able to hold its 2004 OTCC Annual Picnic and Youth Fishing Tourney on Saturday, July 24.

As usual there were plenty of games for the kids, including a greased watermelon contest, volleyball, crafts, a "Sponge Bob Square Pants" pinata, and a treasure hunt. Activities for the adults included horseshoes, plenty of food and live music.

Two special guests this year were two of our Medford councilpersons, Mayor Chris Myers and Deputy Mayor Walt Urban, who have both lent their support to the Colony Club's Taunton Lake Preservation Initiative.

As usual, the highlight of the picnic was the awarding of trophies to the entrants of the Fifth Annual Youth Fishing Tourney. The top awards, presented by Chuck Watson and Paul Davis, were:

1st Place Tyler Davis
2nd Place Theresa Evoy
3rd Place Abby Watson
Longest Fish Elise Littrell
Most Fish Katie Evoy
